BSc Degree Programmes
Admission Requirements
Entry Requirements for Ghanaian Nationals: An aggregate score of twenty (20) for science students and eighteen (18) for non-science students, comprising grades from A1 to C6 in three core subjects (English, Mathematics, Integrated Science) and three elective subjects (A1 to C6) within any of the listed programmes.
- Applicants must be between 16 and 35 years old (unless stated otherwise).
- Foreign applicants should have certificates and transcripts interpreted by GTEC and WAEC.
- Applicants should obtain professional verification when applying for Post-Basic/Auxiliary programmes.
BSc General Nursing
2-Year Top-Up: For candidates holding a Diploma in General Nursing.
4-Year Programme: For WASSCE/SSCE or equivalent entrants who will complete the full curriculum from the start.
BSc Ophthalmic Nursing (Post-Basic)
A strict 2-year Top-Up programme for Diploma holders in General Nursing.
Post-Basic Programmes Notes
Requirements for Post-Basic Nursing and Midwifery programmes vary by programme of study. Programme-specific requirements are listed below where applicable. Age for post-basic programmes: Not exceeding 50 years, subject to medical fitness.
- Mandatory one year rotation/internship/national service (where applicable).
- Three years' post-registration experience in a relevant basic area and a valid license for some programmes.
- Programme-specific qualifications: Registered General Nursing (SRN), RMN, RM, PHN, RCMN, BSc Ophthalmic Nursing.
